About this event

Whether you would like to be self-employed, or work for a small or large organisation, the decisions being made in how this organisation does business can have a huge impact on the local people, supply chains and environment. This workshop will look at how you can gain insights into the how, to inform your own career thinking.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss key concepts around social value and how organisations impact on their eco-system
  • Articulate what they are looking for in an organisation, aligned to their own values
  • Approach job-seeking feeling equipped to explore an organisation’s approach to its triple bottom line

Presenter information:

Elizabeth Adams (she/her)

Elizabeth is a coach and consultant with over 15 years' experience in researcher development. Her main focus is on academic leadership/career coaching and research culture.

She has also worked as an innovation consultant, brokering partnerships between large engineering companies and SMEs or researchers, running educational projects for the Royal Society of Chemistry and as an analytical chemist in the Pharma industry.

Elizabeth brings a strong understanding of how support and interventions at individual, team and organisational level can help to embed a culture of creativity, innovation and collaboration, where people can grow and develop.
